Adult stem cells differ from embryonic stem cells as they are present in various tissues in the body. They are abundantly
present in the bone marrow, forming a special tissue. It has been shown that adult stem cells can differentiate into
muscle, cartilage, bone and adipose tissue.
Currently, clinical studies are being performed around the world using stem cell therapeutics on various indications,
with certain indications being approved by relevant regulatory authorities.
SCM Lifescience is developing high-purity allogeneic stem cell therapeutics using its proprietary stem cell isolation
technology and conducting clinical trials for the same. Ultimately, SCM is planning to produce stem cell therapeutics for treatment of immunological conditions and regeneration of tissue.
